  • VAT group

From 1 January 2023, VAT taxpayers operating within groups have been given the option to form VAT groups, which is to be a group of financially, economically and organisationally related entities registered as a single VAT taxpayer. This solution may in particular serve to improve liquidity in groups or as a tool to simplify intra-group VAT settlements.

The setting up of a VAT group has been limited by the conditions that should be fulfilled by its member entities, in particular concerning the aforementioned links. One of the most frequently mentioned benefits is the exclusion from VAT of transactions carried out between the members of the VAT group.

    Who is it for?
    • Do you operate in a group where some entities are constantly awaiting VAT refunds which affects your liquidity?
    • Are the VAT settlements for transactions within your group too time-consuming or do they create uncertainties or tax risks?
    • Your group includes entities with both taxed and VAT-exempt activities?
    Our support scope:
    • Analysis of the opportunities and benefits of setting up a VAT group.
    • Comprehensive support at every stage of setting up a VAT group.
    • Support in the initial stage of operation in a consolidated group VAT accounting system.
