VAT group
From 1 January 2023, VAT taxpayers operating within groups have been given the option to form VAT groups, which is to be a group of financially, economically and organisationally related entities registered as a single VAT taxpayer. This solution may in particular serve to improve liquidity in groups or as a tool to simplify intra-group VAT settlements.
The setting up of a VAT group has been limited by the conditions that should be fulfilled by its member entities, in particular concerning the aforementioned links. One of the most frequently mentioned benefits is the exclusion from VAT of transactions carried out between the members of the VAT group.
